The Athlete is a character in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.
Biography[]
The Athlete lives in Heliopolis, and hosts a total of three challenges: the Obstacle Course, the Swimming Challenge, and the Running Challenge. If Sphinx completes the challenges, The athlete rewards him with various items. For the Obstacle Course and Running Challenge, he gives Sphinx two Gold Ankh Pieces, and for the Swimming Challenge, he gives Sphinx the Crocodile Scales.
Traits and Appearance[]
The Athlete is a canine with brown fur and a muscular build. He is somewhat narcissistic, as he has a habit of acknowledging Sphinx's physical prowess and following with a self-compliment.
Connection with Ancient Egypt[]
He may be based on Wepwawet, the wolf-headed god of victory and hunting.
