The Book of Sphinx is an item in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.
History[]
Sphinx was given the Book of Sphinx by Imhotep as a journal to record information in. A similar book was also used by Tutankhamen. It was broken down into four sections: quest items, ability items, monsters, and notes. The quest items page listed items that would involve being part of the quest, and ability items would affect the character's abilities. Monsters would list all of the monsters in Sphinx's inventory, and provided statistics and descriptions. Notes would include all tasks that were required, as well as the Prophecy of Ra.

Earlier version of the Book of Sphinx that appears in the manuals, seems like there is enough space for more tabs.
- Originally the book would contain at least five tabs; Stats, Artifacts, Monsters, Maps and Notes.
- The Maps and Stats views were cut halfway through 2003.
- There are no models or icons for the Book of Sphinx within the game itself. It only exists as a Menu.
