The Cursed Palace (also known as the Heliopolis Palace) is a palace that housed the Pharaoh of Heliopolis in Heliopolis.
History[]
The palace is the home of the Pharaoh of Heliopolis. Shortly after Set's takeover of Uruk, Anubis cast a spell on the inhabitants of Heliopolis, turning them into stone. Gradually through accomplishing tasks, Anubis grants Sphinx Curse Stones to free them. The Pharaoh of Heliopolis is revealed to be an impostor, one of Set's minions, who becomes the giant Pharaoh Spider when confronted. In his confrontation with Sphinx, he is killed.
Appearance[]
Entrance hall
The palace is located in the Cursed Palace Area of Heliopolis. It is made of stone the color of sand, and has a ramp up to the entrance. A long hall is located inside, with statues of Anubis and three doors: to the left, to the right, and forwards.
Statue hall
The center door is guarded by the Pharaoh's Guards, and cannot be accessed until they are free from the palace curse and Sphinx has the Royal Invitation. Beyond the door is the Pharaoh's room, with a throne at the end, and an underground passageway off to the side.

- The Cursed Palace is one of the most iconic locations in Heliopolis, as well as of the game (the most recognizable location is the Castle of Uruk).
- A common irk of the fandom is how, when the throne room is unlocked, the player is unable to simply walk up to the Sacred Crown of Heliopolis and take it from its pedestal instead of having to fight the Pharaoh Spider.
