"Hi, I’m Khonsu, the boat captain. You seem like the typical guy who loves adventure. My services include holiday trips of all kinds, at very reasonable prices."
―Khonsu on first meeting Sphinx

Khonsu is a neutral character in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.

Biography[]

Khonsu operates a boat, and transports Sphinx between various locations for a Scarabs payment. Long journeys, such as Heliopolis to Abydos or vice versa, cost 25 Icon scarab. Around areas of Heliopolis, such as South Beach, Bedouin Outpost, and Cursed Palace Area, cost 5 Icon scarab.

Traits and Appearance[]

Khonsu has a red hat and clothing and has purple feathers. He is found at any of the docks in Heliopolis, and a few in Abydos. He seems to have a genuinely kind personality, often being cheery with Sphinx.

Connection with Ancient Egypt[]

Khonsu was the Egyptian god of the moon. The name means Traveler, which is appropriate for this character's role. Khonsu was often depicted as a boy with a side-lock and crook and flail in his hands, or as a falcon-headed man with a moon disk on his head.

The name is also spelled as Khensu, the name of an Urukite in the Castle of Uruk.

Trivia[]

  • His name is only mentioned once, when he is first encountered by Sphinx.
