Journal Description Edit
Knives Cats quickly confuse opponents with deft leaps and bounds, before plunging in to attack with alarming speed, razor sharp claws fully extended.- Book of Sphinx
Museum Description Edit
A much faster and more deadly relative of the Crabhands. Possess a remarkable sense of hearing. While humanoid in shape, you only have to see a Knives Cat hunting to appreciate where the feline half of its name comes from. - Abydos Museum
Traits, Appearance, and Abilities Edit
The Knives Cat, unlike typical felines, walks on two legs. It has two retractable blades on its wrists, hence the name Knives Cat. They have brown fur and an angry face, suggesting that they are highly carnivorous.
Monster's Strategy - After spotting Sphinx, the Knives Cat will begin running circles around him. This causes Sphinx to quickly lose track of them, making it easier for them to get a hit in. After it feels it has an opening, it will slash at Sphinx with it's claws. They can also use said claws to shield themselves from Sphinx's sword slashes. On occasion it will pounce forward at its target.
Strategy for Sphinx - These monsters can be tricky to kill because they have a defensive position (it defends itself with its claws). It helps if you let it try and attack you, then it will not assume its defensive position as quickly.

- Fans tend to think of Knives Cats and Crabhands as being a pair.
- Their strategy of attack and defense is almost identical to the Sharpbeak's.
