- "The Nose Needler is a burrowing mammal found in dusty regions. Good luck to anyone attempting to land a blow on one of these evasive mammals."
- ―Book of Sphinx
- "A feisty subterranean mammal."
- ―Monster Inspector
- "The Nose Needler certainly does needle, provoking their prey until its judgment is clouded by anger. Burrowing through soft soil at great speed, they emerge briefly and throw abrasive rocks at a enemy, before going underground once again and repeating the process."
- ―Abydos Museum
Traits, Appearance, and Abilities Edit
The Nose Needler, as its name suggests, has a needle-like nose that can fire stones at its victim. They tunnel underground from spot to spot, making fighting it difficult.
Strategy for SphinxEdit
Look for the small eruption from the earth. That signifies that the Nose Needler is about to emerge. They tend to have set areas where they surface. Hit it three times to capture it, or four times to kill it.
- When captured and viewed in Sphinx's Journal, it appears that a good deal of earth is contained within the beetle, leaving the lower parts of the monster unknown. This is similar to the Pokémon Diglett and Dugtrio.
