Sobek is a character in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.
Biography[]
Uruk[]
Sobek is the chief of the Urukites, hiding in the Castle of Uruk with the others. He visits the dungeon after Khensu tells him of how Tutankhamen rescued him. He is accompanied by two others, and they thank him on behalf of the remaining Urukites. Sobek asks Tutankhamen to deactivate the Eye of Ra, and leads him towards it.
Appearance and Traits[]
Sobek is an Urukite with purple, wrinkled skin. He wears a conical hat.
Connection with Ancient Egypt[]
The crocodile-headed god Sobek represented power and protection, and became associated with Isis as a healer of the dead Osiris. It is these traits, rather than his appearance, which likely associate him with this character.
